Reflections

Thursday afternoon

In the distance a haze of lavender-blue provides relief from the harshness of rapeseed gold. A time to reflect on light and shade.

Friday afternoon

treetops swish

stiff breeze ripples lake’s surface

my thoughts stir

Friday evening

a familiar squeal

first swifts of the season

I’m drawn to the window

  1. I like the vivid word picture of the way the seasons and nature are changing in your part of France, and the way it affects you.

  2. Thanks, Alison. The change in the weather was marked yesterday (Friday) with a cold wind in the afternoon then clearer and warmer in the evening and the swifts made the most of it! Good to see them starting to come back again.
