A white, wet and windy week!

Sunday morning 10th December and we woke to a white world...

...and the snow continued to fall although more lightly by midday.  Then the wind picked up, blew in some rain clouds, just a little sunshine in between showers...with the resultant slush.

Heavy rain is forecast for later and tomorrow - so hoping it doesn't freeze tonight!

Monday - rough weather overnight with high winds and heavy rain left a dry, grey, quiet day - still cold but no sign of frost. A lull before the next band of windy, rainy weather which arrived in the evening.

Tuesday - a dry, bright day but still cold.  A bad attack of TN keeps me indoors while Ron takes a trip to Rodange, just over the French border in the Duchy of Luxembourg.  More wet and windy weather is forecast for this evening.

Hope it's getting the bad stuff out of the way before our Christmas/New Year trip to the UK.

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday - grey, wet and windy days with just occasional dry spells and even more-infrequent glimpses of the sun!  A dry spell through Saturday afternoon allowed the organisers to get ready for a visit by Papa Noel tomorrow.

Luckily overnight rain cleared to leave a dry day on Sunday...

Hot chocolate, wine, coffee, chestnuts - games, pony rides and Father Christmas distributing sweets for the children.

The forecast is more hopeful in time for our journey and we hope everybody has a very happy Christmas and New Year.
