A coach tour of the bays of Jersey gave us a better idea of the island and the places we wished to visit when we hired a car for five days.
In many places decorated statues of gorillas were on display to be sold to raise funds for the Zoo to improve and add to homes for real gorillas...

An illustration of the Jersey cream 99 Ron fell in love with - the real ones melted too quickly in the hot sunshine!
We enjoyed mostly good weather, with many hot, sunny days and only one reallybad one so counted ourselves very lucky.
We returned on Friday 13th (without incident !) and extended our holiday over the weekend with dinner at The Wheatsheaf that evening and a pleasant afternoon on Saturday watching "The Norfolk Broads", a female duo singing 40s music as part of thre 1940s weekend in Sheringham area.
On Sunday afternoon a drive through the local countryside which has as many narrow roads and lanes as on Jersey!
