Friday passed without the promised word, work - or any sort of information - from the central heating people we contacted two weeks’ ago. We sent a dismissive email.
Later the same day, our friends told us they had found a plumber for us and he turned out to be a Godsend. They brought him to meet us this morning, between jobs, and to check out what needed to be done. He returned at 4 p.m., as promised, and by 5 p.m. repairs were done and the house started to warm up.
Lovely bloke too. We have made a note of his name and number.
Yay!!!! Reckon this calls for a glass of bubbly...
